So I've had all day with nothing better to do than think about the seat in the carryall. Well, and the fact that Julie came in to tell me there's a lot of something running out from under the Carryall. I think we broke the cooling system. I can't get under there today to look.
Anyhow, the seats are pretty bad. They look like they were just cobbled together out of whatever was available. They work, kind of, but until now were pretty low on the list of things to fix.
Now back when I was a kid, we had a '66 Suburban 4x4. It had bench seats and never gave anyone any problems at all. And we drove that thing all over! This leads me to think that I may be able to put something together, close to stock, that should be good enough and comfortable.
I never gave any thought to what makes a good seat. Looks like I'm going to have to learn something new.
That and fix the cooling system. Arrgh! I was planning on taking the machine camping again this weekend!
