So if I have my numbers correct, the ARB locker is about $1200, not including the air compressor, which runs between $300 and $900 for ARB compressors, depending on which level you buy.
The other thing that gives me pause is that I believe when the ARB is in the open differential mode, it is running all of the torque through just one axle shaft. At least that's what I understood from doing some reading. For a truck that many say has marginal axle shafts to begin with, plus a modified 265 engine, like I'm planning to use, this doesn't seem like a good idea. Somebody please correct me if I'm misunderstanding the operation of the ARB unit.
