I have two sets of vent windows, never disassembled. one from a 52 and one from a 54. Neither assembly has those two little washers between the thick metal stops. The stops pivot directly against the box channel. The purpose of the blunt one, I don't know. It pivots right along with the pointed stop, but the blunt stop really isn't a stop at all.
