Another solution is to keep the factory winch extensions and notch the top and bottom flanges of the front bumper just outside the winch frame extensions. Bend the outer ends of the bumper back to almost touch the front sheet metal at both front body corners. Once satisfied with the modification, re-weld the bumper notches closed. The newly angled front bumper then provides better clearance in tight surroundings.
