First Drive in the 6x6

On Thursday we took the 6x6 on it's first ever self-powered drive. It was a blast! This picture is from our trip today (#3) up and down our little road to check the systems and adjust the steering wheel center location. And just to feel it run!

The electrical system seems to be working very well. No problems with the charging system. The power steering works great, and the power brakes are strong but not at all touchy. Just what I had hoped for.

The carburetor needs a little adjustment, and I think the engine timing is a little off, but otherwise the engine runs very well. The next big item is to install the new exhaust system. Then get started on the countless other things that need to happen as we build the pickup box.
