there should be an aluminum tag on the inducer. It will tell you the serial number and the model number. The size of the exducer will determine how fast the turbo kicks in. Sounds like you have a later model 4bt. Early ones came with a lot of 18 cm exducers, over the years the exducers got smaller. 9cm and even smaller are more common these days.
