Looking at possibly buying my first PW. It's a little rough but it's a good place to start. One thing I noticed is that they cut a hole in the floor to give the bellhousing/engine block clearance since it looked like it was pretty much touching. I found out the engine is a Dodge car 230. The PW is a 1953. Would there be any reason to have to cut the floor for this clearance on this motor? Maybe the cab mounts are soft and the cab has settled and this was their quick fix?

Another concern I had was the roof seam. It's very rusty and leaking in the drivers' side corner. How difficult is this area to address and work with?

I'm trying to attach pics of the engine compartment. Let me know. Thanks
