Ok, so pump grease in the top of the steering arm 'till it comes out of the screw hole in the lower ball thing. (as seen in picture)
And for the wheel bearings, it sounds like its just repack with grease like most of the wheel bearing in the world. I find that mine are rolling around in some sort of sticky yellow brown slime. The axel seals are probably shot, but its not yet axel seal time.
