I have been trying to install the windshield with new rubber. 1st I installed the rubber without any goop and it went on fine but popped out at the top center. I used some blue tape and left it in the sun for 10 days. Removed the tape and it popped out again. I tried to install and hoped to close the window and let that pressure form the rubber better, but It was impossible to get the rubber to stay in the grove at the top. (my 3rd and 4th hands were not variable) I removed the frame and reinstalled the rubber with 3M Black super Weatherstrip and Gasket Adhesive. I did not go all the way around but hit the corners and the top "V" trouble spot. I noticed the the adhesive did not really stick to the rubber and can come off pretty cleanly. It did hold the rubber onto the frame. My help came over and the plan was to position the frame/rubber against the cab opening then tighten the hinge bolts. We thought we had it then we attached the regulator tape. When pulling the tape in by its handle, the rivets on the swivel attaching to the frame hang up on the lower lip of the opening where the tape head retracts into the cab. It's as if the whole windshield wants to be raised but that is not the best sealing location. I think the opening needs to be filed a little to let the rivets clear but I hate to cut stuff without pausing. I wanted to let it marinate overnight and hear some feedback.
