My wife and I visited the WW II Museum in New Orleans a few years ago. Across the street is the PT-305 restoration, which is nearing completion. One of the guys in charge of the restoration gave us a personal tour of the restoration project, which is not open to the public. The boat is headed back to the water, and people will be able to ride on a piece of history.
