The popping back through intake could be caused by a bad mixture still burning when the intake opens, the fire gets sucked tnto the intake by the vacuum form other cylinders. Slow burning can be caused by lean OR rich. Or bad coil or condenser making weak spark.
It may still be that other problem you had, remember it? You've got it again...
