Tricks for getting Brake drum screws out?

Before I destroy something. I'm sure there must be some tricks to getting the %^*$%& Flathead screws out that hold on the brake drums. I'm going slightly bonkers here fighting with 'em. Using a handheld hammer impact wrench, I was able to get one. But the other two are just not budging.
