You'll want to keep an eye on your oil level for a while and make sure the new pump that had been sitting doesn't have a defect in the diaphragm and leak into the crankcase.
Just thinking about this now - I should have mentioned to keep the pressure low. Not sure what psi could damage a pump - it doesn't take much to move the fuel down the line. slow and steady wins the race, etc. I don't think I've ever hurt a pump by using air pressure like that but I'm sure it's possible. Same psi as the fuel pump delivers is probably safest. Sorry that I didn't think of it earlier - been spoiled using my electric fuel pump to prime/troubleshoot.
