hopefully as vaughn pointed out breakage could be related to to much slop in the wheel bearing adjustment

my point is they used the same spindles as the 1/2 military but they moved the wheel flange on the hub further out on the end of the spindle(which was designed for 750 x16 tires) and put bigger tires on it and now folks are even putting bigger tires and more torque

and my guess is the end of the spindle could twang(flex) just enuff to compromise the axle splines due to all that rolling unweighted mass(quoting manny ha!)

as i have said before my pw guru in austin broke his backing up in 2wd also--but he was running a 265 with 1100 s on his m37
