I can find no reference in my parts manuals to a difference in caps between OF equipped trucks and non-OF equipped trucks. My lists from 1945 through 1953 show only one cap, and this one cap is used for both the radiator and the overflow tank. In 1954 the part number of the cap changed to a number that is indicated as having been previously unlisted. However, at that time, both caps still shared, just changed to the same new number. The old number was dropped and no reference was made as to the change having anything to do with overflow verses non overflow.

I know the first cap (1945-1953) was an nonpressurized cap. I do not know if the cap that replaced it in 1954 was pressurized or not. No reference is made to pressurized in the parts lists. Personally, I do not believe the overflow tank would siphon correctly with a pressurized cap - at least not a modern pressurized cap as we know them.
