I doubt it compares to the 4bt at all. Sounds like most modern high revving clean diesels. I wouldnt expect a million miles out of one but probably relatively smooth and quiet.
Probably more appealing to most drivers but somehow the sounds and rattles of the 4bt screams industrial to my ears and gives me the feeling that it will always get the job done.
