If you search the internet, there is an M37 with one in it.

The 4236 was also a factory option in the European D50 Dodge built by Chrysler in the UK.

Have fun with it, but before you invest too much in it, I'll share my odd diesel experience. I've been driving a '78 Scout with factory Nissan diesel for 5 years-I mean trying to, when the weather is nice and it will start. The 3.3 L SD33 is a nice enough little engine, and it will wind up enough to go 65-70 mph with 4.10 gears, but I finally got tired of no lo-end torque, hard starting, and constant blue smoke. I studied up on what I could to to add a turbo, aftercooler, and oil-cooled pistons from a later model Australian Nissan truck. While all that work would boost my torque by about 30%, a bone stock 4bt would double that. The Nissan was relatively smooth and quiet and cool because it was factory, but it's getting pulled out this summer.

So my suggestion is to either get serious off the bat with a Cummins or buy my Nissan motor with T18 and Dana 20 bolted to it for probably less than you could find a trans and transfercase to match the Perkins.

Do you know if the Perkins is set up for a SAE #3 or #4 flywheel?
