2 weeks ago I was working on the tranny for for the 6x6 and found that I needed a couple parts. I poked around the internet and found a vendor that had a small parts kit with the parts I need. I ordered the parts and got a confirmation, even got a tracking number, but the parts never left the warehouse.

I emailed last week to see what was up, but got no response. I looked online to see if I could find a phone number to call, and found A TON of negative reviews for the company, many describing the situation I am in - no parts, no email replies, and no one answering the phone.

Knowing this, I called my credit card company to see if I could stop the transaction. They said it was too late to do anything on their end, but they gave me a number to call, which might put me in touch with someone who could help.

Turns out the number was to Paypal, who handles the company's credit card transactions. They were VERY helpful, and filed a dispute with the company, which halted the payment. They said that usually got the vendor's attention. Today I got confirmation that my dispute has been move up to a claim, since there has been no correspondence from the vendor, and the parts were not shipped within 10 days of the transaction.

So the silver lining here is this - Paypal has a lot of leverage with a vendor if you find yourself having trouble getting your parts and no way to reach the vendor. It's a last resort in a bad situation, but it's there if you need it.
