I'm running a 318 with power steering and larger starter and the center dump cast iron manifolds interact well with everything. I insulated the power steering hoses and starter cable since they were about 2" from the manifold. I got the 1" insulation from JEGS, then wrapped the excess diameter over itself and shrink-tubed the ends.
