Is the iron bulge on only one side? Or opposite too?

If there are two flats and two bulges, it is balanced, and a damper, NOT an external balancer.

Other choice would be that the rest of the 6s were always off balance, adding that part fixed them. But that hump is pretty big for them to be OK without it.
