Not only that, but some external balancers need to be bolted on exactly the way they were from the factory.
You could opt for taking the crank, rods, pistons, to a shop and have them all balanced. I had that done to a 428 Ford engine. It was extremely smooth running and ran for many thousands of miles. "Ran until parked". :)
