Ok, good explanation, although I think what matters most, as far as bending load that would cause failure of the spindle, is the location of the vertical centerline of the tire relative to the spindle - in other words, the horizontal distance from the center of the tire tread to the location(s) of concern on the spindle. This distance, multiplied by the weight being carried by the tire, tells you the bending moment seen by the spindle, at least in the vertical direction. Assuming the spindles from all these vehicles are the same material, heat treat and dimensionally the same, then this bending moment will determine which spindle is most highly stressed. There are loads acting in other directions (braking loads in fore and aft direction, and side loads acting on the tires and thereforw the spindles when the truck is on a sideways slole), but I suspect the vertical load is the one of most concern.
