if this truck is indeed a factory convert, it could have been built using vc 1/2 ton driveline stuff. think of it this way, 1940 to 1950 is only 10 years. someone orders a light duty 4x4 and you have vc stuff around. in it goes. same with the other pilot house stuff using ww2 half ton parts. the vc wheels look more at home on this truck than the budds.
