10 years ago I took my front spring packs to a spring shop because they had flatttened out.
The man advised me that to have the re-arch "hold" you need to add at least one leaf (which he supplied).
I had him re-arch the packs and add the leaf.
After 10 years the springs are still good.
So, unless you are a purest as to the number of leaves, this would be a less expensive option.
I have a winch and use my truck a bit on the farm. If I had repowered with a heavier engine I would have added 2 leaves.
