See to me a firetruck is just another new truck with a ton of holes hacked into it with a half inch Milwaukee Hole Hawg...then a bunch of tanks & crap cobbled on in such a fashion that it can never be removed without a cutting torch.
I guess if my dad was a fireman & I had the chance to buy his old truck he'd driven all his life...I might appreciate them more. Don't get me wrong...firetrucks are not the only trucks on my dismantling radar...telephone trucks, tow trucks...they all getting stripped at my garage :)
Until the day a truck with a utility body or flatdeck is worth the same as a truck with an express bed...they're going in the garbage as soon as I can get under there with the appropriate torch to hack it all off & take it to the local scrap metal dealer.
Then I've got Matt Tisdale on speed dial
