My dad, age 91, told me once that his dad let him drive an old Nash when he was in high school.
He said it was constantly a problem due to a faulty carb linkage design that would hang up, especially at stop signs, and lights. He would have to get out of the car and open the hood to free it up. Mechanics seemed to not be able to help as it was a design flaw , and needed frequent near impossible adjustment. He was very glad when they sold it.
Jerry: BTW, do you have the part number for the "rare as hens teeth" NP540 PTO spacer? I have your picture and some other info you provided on it. I am finally ready to make a concerted effort to find one.
