Not sure what you have done prior to the problem so where to step in is not clear.

Two things to check. 4 pounds Fuel pressure is enough. Put a pressure regulator in line as it may be flooding. Float setting wrong or check valve not working. But I don't think so. Second check your vacume with a gage or try holding your hand over the throat of the carburetor and with the motor running and the throat/Hand open, slowly close down over the throat with your cupped hand and if the idle picks up it is a vacume leak.

If you have not changed distributor or timing conditions don't mess with those.
