I did not do the conversion. The front mount is a made out of flat stock that attaches at two bolt holes on each side of the front of the block. It then loops over the top of the water pump to connect the two sides. It looks a little like a horse shoe. Very nice and is out of the way. At the bottom on each side, is welded a flat piece of metal that extends out towards the frame. They welded 2 taps of metal to the frame. Between each tab and the bottom of the "horse shoe" they have a rubber damper that bolts to each piece. I would have changed this mount slightly. I would keep the horse shoe but I would have welded tabs on the bottom of each side that go towards the front of the truck instead of to the sides. Then I would have bolted another tab to the frame where the original 230 front engine mount bolts down. Then I would have put the same rubber damper in. This method would not require any welding (alterning the frame).

THe rear engine mount is actually on the bell housing. It is an original saddle engine mount that chev used in the mid to late 50's. It has rubber pads on it and the bell housing is bolted on at these pads. The ends of the engine mounts have been altered. They were cut off. They welded a vertical piece to the end. Then they welded a horizontal piece, that goes out towards the frame rails, to the top of this vertical piece. These horizontal pieces rest on the original engine mount that are attached to the frame and are bolted down into the original bolt holes. The saddle engine mount was also altered to allow for the PTO shaft that goes to the winch. One could easily make the rear mount out of box tubing.

IT is a clean installation, with the exception of the tabs welded to the frame for the front engine mounts. I would have made it so it would use the original engine mount bolt holes in the front cross member.
