How Do I Replace This?

This is the pedal end of the throttle cable I'm using on my 6x6. The cable is about 3/32", and the ball on the end appears to be steel. I need to shorten the cable, and I'd like to put another ball stop on it so that it works with the pedal mechanism. Where can I find these little balls, and how do I fasten it back onto the cable?
