could very well be a late 1940 telehone repair truck and most likely original. yes the rims will dual up but will only be safe on the 1/2 ton as they wont properly clear the brake drums on the 3/4, 1.5, militaries and the 1 ton ffpw. check the cab, early 1/2 tons had the civvy cab with civvy gages and there was a rubber plug over the gas filler hole. ( cause the civvy gas tank was undr the seat )the standard ma-bell bed will have a filler neck at the drivers side rear, quite rareonly made a few hundred, look for the wc# on the glovebox door id plate, this will cofirm.
