I'm with you Keith. Never had a mechanical pump fail on me & never installed an electric fuel pump. Removed lots of them in my day! :)
If you're buying any fuel pump, mechanical or electric, the key is to buy a freshly built unit...not an nos or older unit that had a diaphragm made of the materials not compatible with our modern fuel.
