I bought a new headliner to go in my '52. The old one was torn, especially where the dome light had been.
The way the dome light attaches to the headliner is very "weak" for lack of a better word.
Has anyone ever done a more "permanent" anchoring of the dome light tot he steel of the cab, like with a bracket, in the position just above the rear glass?
I was thinking that if it was positioned at the top of the cab, a piece of metal could be screwed across the two headliner anchor points up there, and then the dome light could be better anchored to it, and then the headliner would wrap around it so to speak?
