I purchased my 67 PW in 2009 with a clean Indiana title. After 8 years , many dollars and the passion associated with these vehicles, I cannot find the title or bill of sale. No problem in Ky!!! Ky has a provision for classic vehicles. Sheriff's office has been very helpful. Within 24 Hours came and inspected the VIN and started the process for "restored classic motor vehicle" . When the vehicle is complete they come again and inspect for roadworthy ness and issue a new title. For more info look up drive.ky.gov/vehicle titling . Basic criteria is more than 25 years old and not previously titled in Ky.
