If you check Barrett Jackson's web site you may be pleased with the sales results for FFPW'S . You should understand that the sales prices listed always reflect what the buyer paid not what the seller received. Assuming a truck sold for $100k, the buyer paid $110k plus registration fees plus applicable sales taxes and the seller received $90k less any fees paid to register the vehicle . In BJ auctions both seller and buyer are charged a commission and fees. Commisions are higher for a vehicle sold on Friday and Saturday. My example uses a hypothetical 10 % rate but some pay more and others less. One seller in this auction had a 144 vehicles for sale so I guessing he got a better rate. All the FFPWs I saw were very high point trucks which is typical of vehicles offered at this auction which attracts well heeled bidders from around the world. The auction is quite a spectical and my heart was warmed to see quite a few old coots like me with ladies(?) 30 to 40 years younger than them.
