I just looked at several types and found some that let the snow off in sections as it breaks up. Also found Vent savers made of metal you attach to the roof and pipe I can make myself instead of $55.00 each! I will do this in the summer on a dry roof. Just a couple more months of this to go. I always worried the dogs & people may get hurt from it. They are in favorites for a later reminder.
