I love silicone, silicone loves air. No matter what you do the brake will feel spungy. It seems that little air bubbles will form in areas of turbulence. Is this true? heck if I know but when I switched back my spungy brake peddle became a rock hard one.
Just use the DOT 4 and change it every few years, If you can test it for water contamination then you will know how often you will need to flush the system.
