From the Cummins shop manual;
B3.9, 4BTA 723 pounds
B5.9, 6BTA 906 pounds
Both weights are less flywheel and electrics
The B5.9 is also much larger
The 4bta will give you great performance and better MPG. Any diesel conversion is very expensive compared to a Gas'er
