How hard have you charged it? Have you checked all the cells with a hydrometer? I have salvaged many batteries that wouldn't charge in the vehicle or with a standard el-cheapo charger just by charging them fully with an adjustable charger. I suspect most of the "re-con" batteries they sell were never really bad at all, and all they needed was a good charge, a quick load test, and a new sticker. Look at all the people who replace first the battery, and then the alternator, when their car won't start. If the alternator was bad, the battery was probably just fine. Or they replace both and then it turns out there was just a bad connection somewhere. Lots of perfectly good batteries get turned in as "bad".
