I did not flush the tractor hydraulic system as the manual said to not run the pump at all unless there was fluid in the system reservoir. The system contains 10 gallons and that is too much to waste. The system has a large fine double layer filter in the return reservoir that filters all of the oil going to the pump and about all that gets into the reservoir is dust sucked in from the reservoir vent and that is trapped by the filter. The reservoir vent also has a filter as well.
