Started using it on everything in the '60's while working as a marine engine mechanic....Same salty environment as by you. Heard that it interferes with producing and maintaining proper wheel nut torque. I've never had a problem. I place it right up there with Chryslers theory on left-hand lugs. I also use it on spark plugs, as their life cycle is now approaching that of your tires.
