correct. pods are the way to go in the boat. i keep the water tank almost empty and can make espresso and decaf espresso without a lot of mess. i bought the lavazza machine after seeing it in heavy use at a car repair shop. the mechanics used it all day long. it is compact, all metal, easy to maintain. it makes a better espresso than 99% of the places i go with proper machines. my home machine is dialed in for what i like. all manual.
