I agree. I just see a lot of posts by people who are not comfortable with that, and they are afraid the engine will be ruined, or the life greatly shortened, by operating anywhere close to that speed. I think it's mostly folklore that has been passed down from person to person, and also the fact that the engine and drivetrain are loud and the fan is noisy.

If someone doesn't know the history of the engine, or if they know it has a lot of wear, then it might be prudent to avoid the high rpm's, but that's the case with any engine. Otherwise, if it's in decent shape, there's plenty of history and factory specs to indicate that it's perfectly fine to operate this way.
