That is what I thought? A long time ago when I had it all apart there was questions on the crank and I was looking for numbers and it is forged and had the same bolt pattern as the 230 did on the flywheel. Never measured the stroke but used the same pistons bearings and rods as the 230?? Even the head could fit but the 218 head was nicer and raised the compression up some. Probley is a shorter stroke and your right just a lot of the parts were the same?
