i use the jabsco portaquick witht the metal, not plastic plug. changed the smaller bucket its mounted on to a 5 gallon pail for increased capacity. I go through the dipstick on the boat, it takes a while, but it's antiseptic. my old lehman diesel boat had a modified drain plug in the pan mounted to a hand operated pump. 50 strokes emptied the pan. it was old school, but it worked. i want to start doing my own oil changes on the truck. i figure put the valve on with the hose nipple and suction it out. the filter access is not good on the truck. the fuel filter is not setup right either, the drain tube is too short. it drains onto the axle and frame and makes a mess. its getting an extend hose that will take it below spilling on the truck.
