Pedal to the floor under pressure - master cylinder- that is IF the fluid level does not go down.
DOT 3 or DOT 4 non synthetic? Synthetic is nasty for air.
there is a chance you have a crack or loose connection. I have had the lines crack at the MC and the fluid never leaked unless under pressure - fluid was on the under side of the hood, not a drop on the lines.
also the proportioning valve may have a connection issue, say at the electrical connection...........
