Mine with it's yellow body, and black fenders and grill, puts me in mind of a bumble bee, albeit a slow, faded one. Originally, I wasn't a big fan of the yellow either, but it grew on me. When re-paint time comes, it's remaining yellow. (I think)
Easy way to check for original color is to remove one of the windshield wiper covers and check the back. If covers haven't been changed, that's the original color and a good way to have the color matched for paint if going for originality.
