Break-in oil is just a non-detergent oil. You might want to change out the oil and filter looking for metal pieces that could indicate a problem. Three minutes isn't long enough to heat oil or parts for that quick a drop in oil pressure. You may be right thinking an issue with the pump. If it were me, I'd drop the pan, inspect for metal pieces, an replace the pump with a high volume pump.
