12mm Brake Bleeders

I was adjusting the brakes on my 1950 Power Wagon and noticed that the Brake Bleeders were 12mm. This seemed odd for a 1950 vehicle. Do I have some aftermarket replacements or did they use an odd ball 15/32 size on these old trucks
