If you want just a mechanical rebuild, and are willing to do it yourself, the old Electric Auto-Lite manuals have a detailed step-by-step section on our speedometers. These books can be found on ebay from time to time, are loose leaf, and have thick black leather binders. The ones up to about WWII are about 3 inches thick. The ones from WWII and up are about 6 inches thick and come as a set of two.
