These cracks have been covered well by other people. What I didn't see mentioned is the rivet line between the center and rim. These are prone to rot, and especially when the bead locks have been on for a long time trapping water inside. You need to blast these areas to inspect them properly. I have had rims that looked perfectly serviceable until I blasted them and big areas around the rivet disappeared. I suspect there is some dissimilar metal chemistry that goes on in this area and causes the rot.
